Dear Editor,
I have to agree with David Zirkel's opinion last week about disclosing the names of all city employees and their salaries. While I see the relevance of disclosing salary and title information to monitor excessive pay, we certainly don't need to know the names of every employee. The courts may have ruled that names must be included in the public record if requested, but does that also mean you are required to print it? Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Sounds like an unnecessary invasion of privacy to me.
