It was another great night last Friday for the Milpitas High School varsity football team, as it won its second game of the young 2009 season over St. Ignatius College Preparatory of San Francisco 17-7.
The Trojans took a 10-0 lead in the first quarter when senior quarterback Kent London Jr. scored a 1-yard touchdown run.
Junior Alex Tran also kicked a 30-yard field goal in the first period of action.
St. Ignactius scored its lone touchdown and extra point in the second quarter.
Milpitas scored its final touchdown in the fourth when London threw a 50-yard scoring pass to sophomore Jordan Lockett. Tran then made the extra point to seal the victory for the Trojans.
The Trojans, now 2-0 on the year, will be in Newark tomorrow night for a 7:30 p.m. game against Newark Memorial High School. The school is located at 39375 Cedar Blvd., Newark.
